Central Team reached Kerala to control the spread of Covid infection

Kerala continues to report surge in Covid 19 cases as it confirmed 20,772  new infection cases yesterday. The test positivity rate has also increased to 13.61 percent.  116 Covid deaths were also reported the overall death toll to 16,701.

Meanwhile, 14,651 people recovered from the infection AND at present, over One lakh 50,000 people are undergoing treatment.

As Kerala is witnessing an unprecedented surge in covid cases, a Central



team has reached the state to take stock of the ongoing situation and to ensure complete assistance from the Union Government.

The six member team led by National Disease Control Director Sujeet Kumar Singh will work in two groups to closely analyze the spread of infection in ten selected districts of the state. The Central Team’s visit is to Kerala in order to control the rate of spread of the ongoing pandemic.
