The Commission for Air Quality Management Areas (CAQM) today revoked Stage I of the extant schedule of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in the entire Delhi-NCR, with immediate effect. The CAQM Sub-Committee on GRAP said the decision was taken keeping in view the improvement in the AQI of Delhi and forecasts by IMD and IITM indicating the average air quality of Delhi to

stay in the ‘Moderate’ category in the coming days.

The respective state governments are, however, expected to ensure that all statutory directions, advisories and orders issued by the Commission are followed and implemented to not let the air quality slip to the ‘Poor’ category.
