Campaigning for the first phase of elections in Assam and West Bengal ends today

Campaigning for the first phase of Assembly elections in Assam and West Bengal will end today. In West Bengal 18 constituencies spread over Paschim

Medinipur, Purulia and Bankura districts will go to polls in this phase on Monday. In Assam 65 constituencies will go to polls in this phase on Monday. A total of 539 candidates are in the fray in this phase. The Election Commission has taken necessary steps to prevent impersonation of voters.
