Budget Session of Himachal Pradesh legislative assembly to begin today

The Budget Session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the financial year 2021-22 will begin in Shimla today with the address of Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. The session will have a total of 17 sittings and conclude on 20th of March.

 

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will present the Budget



estimate on 6th of March. Assembly Speaker Vipin Parmar said, the session would be held following the COVID protocols and no visitors will be allowed during the session.

 

The strength of Assembly officials and employees has also been reduced from 1,200 to 800 to contain the possibility of COVID-19 spread.
