Gandhinagar: The budget session of the Gujarat Assembly will commence today. The state Budget for the year 2023-24 will be presented tomorrow. The session will end on 29th of March. The month-long session will begin with the address by Governor Acharya Devvrat to the assembly.
The session will have 25 sittings and five days have been earmarked for the discussion of various bills. The finance minister Kanubhai Desai will introduce the budget
tomorrow. The government is likely to bring various bills, including one to introduce stringent provisions against leaking question papers of recruitment exams and the other to make the Gujarati language compulsory in all the schools across the state. Opposition parties are likely to raise various issues of public importance such as the leak of question papers of competitive exams, inflation, unemployment and farmer woes.
