Booster doses for Covid-19 vaccine to start in Mumbai from 13th January

Mumbai: As per the directions of the central government, booster doses for Covid 19 vaccine is going to begin in Mumbai from 13th January.

The Mumbai civic body in a letter issued to all the nodal officers has directed them to start vaccination program for those in the priority list including frontline and healthcare workers and citizens above 60 years of age.

For this, the



administration has identified a total of 451 vaccination centres including 302 government hospitals and 149 private hospitals. The letter said thereafter from the 1st of May, the same vaccination would be given to all the people above 18 years of age.

BMC has till now given a little over 1 crore first dose vaccine and nearly 82 lakh second doses.
