People scare at  Panipat railway station following a blast in a bogie of a passenger train on Thursday night. However, no casualty has been reported.
Several seats of the train, which came from Delhi and reached Panipat around 7:45pm, were torched after the blast around 8:10pm The train (65451 Delhi to Panipat) was standing in the yard after the deboarding of passengers when the incident took place.
Soon after, the Railway Police reached the spot and inspected around 12 bogies with the help of forensic experts. Panipat superintendent of police Rahul Sharma said, “The



bomb disposal squad and FSL team have collected the samples from the spot. But, as of now, we cannot tell the reason of the blast. We are waiting for FSL report.”
The SP, however, said that in the preliminary investigation it was found the module of the blast seemed similar to the blast took place on January 15 in a train at the same railway station. Explosives were installed under a seat in a compartment which was next to a locomotive.
Kuldeep Singh, SP railways, said security had as been improved at the Panipat railway station and the investigation was going on .
