Bharatiya Janata Party, BJP has suspended former Union Minister and senior party leader R.K. Singh from the party for six years for indulging in anti-party activities. 

The party has also issued him a show-cause notice. R.K. Singh had been voicing his objections to the decisions of the party leadership for the past few days and had also been speaking out against the NDA. 

Meanwhile, the BJP has taken action against two other party



office-bearers as well. Ashok Agrawal, a Legislative Council member (MLC) from the Katihar region, and his wife, Usha Agrawal, the Mayor of Katihar, have also been suspended. 

Ashok Agrawal’s son, Saurav Agrawal, contested the election from the Katihar Assembly constituency against the BJP’s official candidate, Tarkishore Prasad. Saurav Agrawal had been declared a candidate by the Vikasheel Insaan Party, which is part of the opposition Mahagathbandhan.
