The Mumbai BJP on Sunday accused the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) of corruption exceeding Rs three lakh crore during its 25-year rule in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), terming it the “biggest corruption scam in the country”.
Mumbai BJP chief and MLA Ameet Satam released an ‘Aarop Patra’ (chargesheet) alleging large-scale irregularities in civic works, including roads, Covid procurement, education, water supply, flood control, garbage transport and public
transport.
The Mumbai BJP chief’s allegations came following the launch of the manifesto of Shiv Sena (UBT) and Raj Thackeray led MNS at Shiv Sena Bhavan on Sunday.
Raising the issues of basic amenities including pothole free roads in the country’s financial capital, Mr. Satam alleged that despite spending thousands of crores, people of Mumbai have not got good and pothole free roads during the Shiv Sena’s regime in civic body in two and half decades.
