BJP OBC Morcha Welcomes Cabinet Nod for Caste Census

Bhartiya Janata Party’s OBC Morcha has welcomed the Union cabinet’s decision to conduct a caste census in the country. In a statement, BJP’s OBC Morcha National President Dr K. Laxman thanked the Prime Minister and said that this decision will empower the marginalised people in the country. 

He said that for decades, the absence of accurate data has hindered the



formulation and implementation of welfare policies for marginalised communities. He said, This decision reflects the government’s commitment to evidence-based governance and legislation. Mr Laxman added that this decision is a bold and transparent step towards social justice, sustainable policy making and strengthening the social fabric of the country.
