BJP’s Lok Sabha member from Kanker in Chhattisgarh, Bhojraj Nag, has created a flutter by claiming that he held back the rains by chopping a lemon to ensure that a public function, attended by chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai, is not disrupted.
A video showing Mr. Nag making the tall claim of stopping the rains to ensure that the chief minister’s function was not shelved has gone viral on social media.
Mr. Sai was seen
attending the function in the clip. The chief minister released the 31st instalment of the Mahtari Vandana Yojana during the ‘Mahtari Vandana Samman’ ceremony held at Lal Raghuveer Singh Stadium at Daundilohara in Balod district in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nag said that he prayed to the rain god to delay the rain and chopped a lemon to make his prayer work to ensure that the function was not disrupted due to a downpour.
