BJP launches nationwide outreach campaign

New Delhi: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections slated for next year, the BJP leadership will be reaching out to the masses to mark the completion of nine years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre. Along with several mass contact programmes and other events, the BJP's outreach initiatives will also include public rallies to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi covering Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and MP; all three states are going to polls this year-end. The PM is likely to address the first rally on May 30 or 31.

As part of its outreach initiatives, the Modi government will also be releasing the performance cards of its ministries, for which the government is already compiling the data submitted by the government. And Union ministers will be holding press conferences on the achievements of the Central government.

From the "Jansampark Abhiyan" in 396 parliamentary constituencies to 51 major rallies, the party plans to reach out to prominent people, hold press conferences, intellectual meets and events. Various morchas of the ruling party will be meeting with the beneficiaries of the Modi government’s schemes as part of various initiatives to mark the



occasion.

The month-long celebrations, between May 30 and June 30, will also have the Prime Minister virtually address the people and cadre at 10 lakh booths across the nation on June 23, the death anniversary of the party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mookherjee.

The BJP has already set up committees for each event and these committees will be monitored by national president J.P. Nadda.

While the Modi government has been compiling the report card of each ministry to highlight various initiatives and schemes of the government in the last nine years, the ruling party will also be reaching out to its senior cadre and has lined up 51 rallies, which will be addressed by its senior leaders, including chief ministers, across the states.

The party will also be reaching out to the families of martyrs and influential people to showcase the achievements of the government. In order to establish contact with the maximum number of people, the party has asked its state units to organise events at every booth level, highlighting how the Modi government’s schemes have benefited the poor and marginalised.
