New Delhi: The BJP yesterday hit out at the Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Punjab over its new mining policy which has been stayed by the Punjab and Haryana High Court as the Indian Army has objected to the policy. Welcoming the order of the High Court, BJP Spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia told reporters in New Delhi that the new policy poses a threat to national security.

Referring to the  Army's stand in the Court, Mr. Bhatia said that the mining policy would have adversely affected the structural integrity and

strength of bunkers in border districts of the State. He also said that the High Court has stayed the ration scheme of the Punjab Government and sought a response that why it is intending to benefit a private company.

The  BJP leader also sought the response of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over the issues. Mr. Bhatia has alleged that AAP's intention is to only indulge in corruption and not take care of people.
