BJP Councillor Cuts Birthday Cake in Sewage to Protest Civic Neglect in Agra

Kishan Nayak, a BJP councillor, staged an unusual protest by celebrating his birthday in a sewage-filled drain, highlighting alleged civic negligence.

In visuals from the incident, Nayak can be seen standing in sewage along with locals, cutting a birthday cake placed on a table set up inside the drain. 

The act was aimed at drawing attention to persistent sewerage and sanitation issues in the



area.

Nayak claimed that despite repeated complaints, officials of the Agra Municipal Corporation have failed to address open sewer problems and poor sanitation conditions. 

He alleged that authorities have been ignoring the issue, forcing him to resort to this form of protest. 

The incident has sparked debate over civic infrastructure and the responsiveness of local authorities to public grievances.
