The BJP on Friday attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly "vacationing abroad", describing him as a "non-serious politician" who exploits students only for political purposes.
The ruling party claimed that Gandhi's absence has led to the cancellation of his scheduled student outreach programmes this month. There was no immediate reaction from the Congress to the BJP's allegations.
The BJP's remarks came after Gandhi's three scheduled student outreach programmes were
reportedly cancelled.
BJP national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha questioned Gandhi's whereabouts, claiming that he has been absent from public events for nearly two weeks.
He further alleged that Gandhi is "completely immersed in vacationing" and has chosen holidays over political engagements. "It is absolutely shocking that Rahul Gandhi has cancelled three of his scheduled student rallies because he seems to be completely immersed in vacationing. He appears to be focused on his holidays.
