In Bihar, security has been beefed up along Indo-Nepal border and Seemanchal districts in view of recent developments following by Operation Sindoor. Patrolling has been intensified by SSB and police in border areas including Madhubani, Sitamarhi, Supaul, Araria, East and West Champaran districts. Leaves of state government and police officials have been
cancelled.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar yesterday chaired a high-level review meeting of officials including the Chief Secretary and the DGP to review security arrangements and preparedness. He asked the District Magistrates to maintain alertness regarding security of vital establishments located in their respective command areas.
