Bihar SIR: 98% electors covered so far, says EC

The Election Commission has said that over 98 percent of electors have been covered in Bihar under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) initiative. 

According to the Commission, over 15 lakh electors forms have not received. The Poll body said, 20 lakh electors have been found deceased,



over 28 lakh permanently migrated and 7 lakh electors found enrolled at more than one place. The Commission said, efforts have been intensified to ensure that all eligible electors are included in the draft electoral roll to be published on first of next month.
