Bihar government has issued fresh guidelines amid rising number of Covid cases in the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said a night curfew has been imposed from 9 PM to 5 AM till May 15. Mr Kumar said essential services have been exempted from it.

The Chief Minister said Schools, Colleges and Educational institutions have also been closed till May 15. Examination of schools and colleges have also been suspended. Marriage ceremonies with one hundred persons have been allowed.



Twenty five people will be allowed in the funeral procession. Government and private offices will be open till 5 evening throughout the state.

Meanwhile, Bihar recorded its highest number of single - day cases with Eight thousand 690 more people testing positive and 27 dying of the virus in the past 24 hours. Active cases in the state have gone upto 44 thousand 700 and they are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.
