Bihar Govt Allots 15 Acres For TTD's Lord Venkateswara Temple

In major news for Balaji devotees in North India, the Bihar government has allotted 15 acres of land to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD) for the construction of the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple near Patna. 

The site is located at Mokama Khas, close to the banks of the Ganga, near the state capital. Earlier, 10 acres were allotted, but as per the latest reports, this was increased to 15 acres.

Venkateswara temples across the country, with a plan to establish them in all state capitals. Earlier, 10 acres of land were allotted in Guwahati, Assam, for a TTD temple. 

The allotment near Patna is the latest in this initiative. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu met Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday and thanked him for his kind gesture and felicitated the CM with a shawl, prasadam, and presented a memento of Lord Venkateswara. Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Pratyay and industrialist Doraswamy also took part in the meeting.
