A stranded commuter Prajwal with his pregnant wife on Old Madras Road of Bengaluru city on Monday fed-up over stoppage of vehicular movement on the busy by traffic police staged a lone protest against halting vehicular movement to make way for the smooth passage of Governor?s convoy.
Having waited for a long time stuck in the traffic, the commuter decided to stage a protest and sat on a zebra cross on the road near ISRO junction at around 12 pm. The traffic was halted for about half-an-hour for the convoy of the Governor.
A traffic policeman brought to the notice of the commuter that vehicular movement on the road has been halted to allow the convoy of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot.
The traffic policeman warned the protester ?Don?t we have to deal with you in
other ways? and the protester replied ?Even we too have work.
My wife is pregnant sitting in the vehicle while the traffic has been brought to a halt. Governor is yet to come out of the venue (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited).?
Traffic policeman stated ?The halt in vehicular movement was over VIP movement.? The protestor stated ?Is Governor the only VIP. Aren?t we?? The traffic police ?You are also a VIP but first get up.?
Continuing his protest the commuter told the policeman ?I don?t know all these. Even, I'm a VIP.? Since the commuter was unrelenting, the traffic policeman called a patrolling police team to handle the situation.? Later the protester withdrew the protest and made way for the convoy of the Governor to pass.
