Bandra-Versova sea bridge will be named after Veer Savarkar: Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Bandra -Versova sea route in Mumbai will be named as Swatantra Veer Savarkar Bandra- Versova Sagari Setu.

He was speaking at an event on the 140th birth anniversary of SwatantraVeer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar in Mumbai yesterday.

He also said that on



the lines of Bravery Award instituted by the union government, the SwatantraVeer Savarkar Shaurya Puraskar will be given for incredible bravery deeds in the state.

Mumbai's Guardian Minister Deepak Kesarkar said, memories of Savarkar will be preserved in the entire state.
