Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu yesterday launched a career guidance program in aviation for school students in New Delhi.

The initiative aims to inspire and educate students of Classes 11 and 12 about diverse career pathways within the aviation sector, from piloting and air traffic control to aircraft design and airport management. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Naidu said India is witnessing unprecedented

growth in the aviation sector. He said that in 2014, there were 74 airports in the country, which has been doubled to 159. He said the government is planning to build 50 more airports in the next five years.

An interactive session was also conducted by women pilots, during which they addressed students’ queries and shared insights from their professional journeys.
