Assam Govt imposes temporary ban on entry of poultry products

The Assam Government has imposed temporary ban on entry of poultry products through Western border of the state as a precautionary measure.

The decision was taken in the wake of outbreak of Avian Influenza



in some of the states. The Veterinary Department has also issued advisory to all concerned authorities for active and targeted surveillance. No Avian Influenza case has been reported in the state so far.
