Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated and dedicated several key railway projects in West Bengal via video conferencing yesterday.
The Minister inaugurated the Suri Road Over Bridge (ROB), dedicated the Kumarpur ROB in Asansol to the nation, and flagged off the new Asansol-Bokaro train service. High-profile ceremonies were
organised at Asansol Railway Station and Kumarpur, with Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and senior railway officials in attendance.
The Suri ROB is expected to eliminate transit delays for local residents, students, and workers. Similarly, Kumarpur ROB served as a critical link between central Asansol, West Burdwan, and Jharkhand, promising smoother trade and reduced congestion in the industrial belt.
