Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Friday rejected reports of a fresh Chinese incursion and stand-off into the state, stating that he would verify the claims by speaking to locals and the Indian Army.

The remarks of the chief minister came in the wake of media reports claiming fresh face-off between the Indian Army and the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) from the Taksing Circle in Arunachal Pradesh's Upper Subansiri district.

Fresh images and

videos circulating on social media have reignited concerns over the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh, with the footage purportedly showing a face-off between Indian Army and Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) personnel in the Taksing Circle.

The visuals, carrying a timestamp of July 26, 2026, have gone viral amid claims that the confrontation may have begun a day earlier, on July 25. The authenticity of the footage, however, has not been independently verified.
