Barely a week after Army jawan Lance Naik Yagya Pratap Singh posted a video on social media alleging harassment by seniors, now his wife has come forward and said that Singh has been placed under house arrest and that there is no means to communicate with him."My husband has been placed under house arrest and his health conditioning is worsening. He has said that he wants to talk to the media. He has appealed to the Prime Minister, home minister and defence minister for help," said jawan's wife Richa Singh who has been trying to contact her husband for the last two days.Richa said that she called him a day ago and when she contacted again she was unable to reach him. She told India Today that the mediating officer through whom she contacted Yagya stopped receiving her calls.Richa said that her husband has gone on a hunger strike for the last five days. "My husband is protesting against jawans being used for gardening, cleaning and maintaining the homes of higher officials. He joined the forces to serve the country and not do menial jobs for the authorities," she said.
