Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the TD had always remained supportive to the BCs, since the party's inception.

He was speaking at the Pedalaku Sevalo programme in Bapatla, he said that they had implemented reservations in the local body polls.

The YSRC party had cut the BC quota to 24 per cent, he said. After the coalition government took charge, the BC reservation was increased to 34 per

cent. At the time, the YSRC had approached the court and objected to the proposal. We would move the Supreme Court on the issue, he said.

The TD chief said that their party was committed to the welfare of the BCs and development both financially and politically. He alleged that the YSRC hatched a conspiracy against the DSC by filing over 300 cases against the process. Now, the YSRC leaders are trying to obstruct the hike in BC reservation, he said.
