Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that any attack on Dalits will not be tolerated. Addressing the BJP workers in Hyderabad Sunday evening, he slammed the recent attacks on Dalit community across the country and condemned the politics over Dalit issue.
Mr Modi said Dalits have power to change the country and people cannot forget their contribution to the independence of India. The Prime Minister said if the country has to progress it cannot ignore key mantras of peace, unity and harmony. He said the unity is the main



source of country's development. 
Mr Modi said that the Centre has launched Startup and Standup programmes for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and providing loan upto rupees ten lakh. He desired the lower strata of people should raise themselves from job seekers to job providers.
The Prime Minister appealed to the people to take up the Tiranga yatra to move to historical places of the independence and freedom fighters to inculcate the spirit of independence of the country.
