Continuing its crackdown on encroachments, the district administration on Wednesday carried out a fresh drive to clear illegal structures on government land near Andral Bypass Road, days after a similar operation was conducted on April 16.
Officials said the encroachment was identified on Survey No 1, where cement structures and other constructions had come up unauthorisedly.
The
administration removed the structures using earth movers as part of its ongoing efforts to reclaim the government land.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Zuber N, who oversaw the operation, said the action was part of a firm crackdown to safeguard public property.
He warned that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the encroachment, as well as against anyone encouraging such activities.
