The Chief Minister Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu will be inaugurating the new assembly buildings in Velagapudu IGC on March 2, 2017.  Earlier there was a proposal to get these buildings inaugurated by the prime minister Narendra Modi or another national leader, but they have  dropped that proposal now.
The Speaker, Kodeala Sivaprasad and the legislative affairs minister, Yanamala Rama Krishunudu, will occupy offices in the new assembly buildings on February 27.  Mr Yanamala will allot the ‘Peshis’ to the Leader of the House, Leader of the opposition, ministers and others.
In the polit bureau meet organised on Sunday at the CM’s residence, a discussion was initiated on inaugurating assembly buildings.



The Chief Minister had announced that on March 2, 2017 at 11.25 am, the Assembly buildings would be inaugurated by him.
The Assembly office business in the new buildings will operate officially from February 27, 2017 from 11.30 am with all the staff members. The speaker, Kodela Sivaprasad will welcome the staff. Assembly Secretary Satyanarayana, while addressing the media, said the Speaker was also going to officially resume his office from the new Assembly building. All the records, furniture and everything else is being shifted here from Hyderabad. He said they had decided to retain a few of the employees assigned for Telangana to tackle the shortage of employees until the Budget sessions concluded.
