Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday extended their greetings to the Christian community in the state in observance of Good Friday.
The Governor said Good Friday signifies the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of humanity's sins and the promise of salvation.
"I convey my greetings to all the Christian brothers and sisters on the occasion of Good Friday," said Nazeer in an
official press release from Lok Bhavan. Jesus Christ's life symbolises great love for humanity and stands as a beacon of hope and salvation, he said.
The Chief Minister said Good Friday is a sacred occasion for reflection. "On the occasion of Good Friday, let us remember the sacrifices of Jesus Christ," said Naidu in a post on X.
The teachings of Jesus Christ remain relevant, and his message of love, sacrifice, and faith should inspire everyone, he added.
