Andhra Cabinet Approves New Police Commissionerates in 4 Cities

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet met on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and took key decisions on more than 60 agenda items, including incentives for major investments in IT, quantum technology, and recent recommendations by the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB).

 Among the major decisions, the Cabinet approved the setting up of new police commissionerates in four locations - Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, Tirupati, and



Kurnool.

On the infrastructure front, the Cabinet sanctioned ?1,548.98 crore for infrastructure works in the capital city of Amaravati, along with an additional Rs 644.98 crore for Amaravati infrastructure works. It also cleared Rs 661 crore for the Assembly building works. 

In terms of industrial investments, the Cabinet approved incentives for My Home Industries' greenfield cement unit at Dachepalli and gave the green light to Caterpillar's greenfield facility in Sri City.
