Amit Shah departs for Baramati after Ajit Pawar’s plane crash

Union Home Minister Amit Shah departed for Baramati on Wednesday following the tragic plane crash in which Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and five others were killed.

Ajit Pawar’s wife and Rajya Sabha member Sunetra Pawar, their son Parth Pawar, and NCP(SP) MP Supriya Sule will depart for Mumbai soon.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde will arrive in Baramati later in the day. The state



government has also cancelled all the official events in view of the plane crash.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah held a telephonic conversation with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis following the plane crash in Baramati involving Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.

PM Modi and HM Shah were briefed about the accident and the latest updates on the situation, according to the Maharashtra government officials.
