Air India has announced that it will temporarily suspend services on three routes and cut the frequency of flights on 19 others, as it cuts reduction of nearly 5 per cent in its narrowbody flight operations.

The current step, Air India said, is aimed at strengthening operational stability and avoiding last-minute passenger inconvenience. The reduction will be effective until July 15, 2025. This move follows the airline's earlier decision to reduce international widebody flights by 15 per cent.

The three routes that will remain suspended until mid-July are:

. Bengaluru–Singapore (AI2392/2393) – 7 weekly flights

. Pune–Singapore (AI2111/2110) – 7 weekly flights

. Mumbai–Bagdogra (AI551/552) – 7 weekly flights

The airline will also reduce the number of weekly flights on the following 19 routes:

. Bengaluru–Chandigarh: 14 to 7

. Delhi–Bengaluru: 116 to 113

. Delhi–Mumbai: 176 to 165

. Delhi–Kolkata: 70 to 63

.

Delhi–Coimbatore: 13 to 12

. Delhi–Goa (Dabolim): 14 to 7

. Delhi–Goa (Mopa): 14 to 7

. Delhi–Hyderabad: 84 to 76

. Delhi–Indore: 21 to 14

. Delhi–Lucknow: 28 to 21

. Delhi–Pune: 59 to 54

. Mumbai–Ahmedabad: 41 to 37

. Mumbai–Bengaluru: 91 to 84

. Mumbai–Kolkata: 42 to 30

. Mumbai–Coimbatore: 21 to 16

. Mumbai–Kochi: 40 to 34

. Mumbai–Goa (Dabolim): 34 to 29

. Mumbai–Hyderabad: 63 to 59

. Mumbai–Varanasi: 12 to 7

Despite these reductions, Air India will continue to operate nearly 600 daily narrowbody flights across 120 domestic and short-haul international routes.

The airline is reaching out to affected passengers with options for alternative flights, complimentary rescheduling, or full refunds. The updated schedule is being published on Air India’s website, mobile app, and contact centre.
