Air India plane crash: 1-day state mourning in Gujarat tomorrow for Vijay Rupani

The Gujarat government announced that a one-day state mourning will be observed on Monday for former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who died in an Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad three days ago. Rupani's funeral will be held in Rajkot on Monday.

In an order issued on Sunday, the state



government said the national flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings where it is flown regularly. No official entertainment will be held on the day of mourning, the order said.

Earlier in the day, Rupani's body was identified through DNA testing. His remains were handed over to the family.
