A major air tragedy has been reported from Jharkhand's Chatra district where an air ambulance has crashed. The chartered air ambulance had taken off from Ranchi's airport and was en route to Delhi. 

Seven persons were on board the aircraft, including a patient being transported for treatment



in Delhi, a doctor, a paramedic, two attendants, a pilot-in-command and a co-pilot. Radar contact was lost with the aircraft after takeoff from Jharkhand's airport. 

The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, 41, a burn patient who was being transported on the medical evacuation flight.
