AIIMS Bhubaneswar Junior Dr Found Dead in Rented House

A junior doctor at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhubaneswar, was found dead in her rented accommodation in the Odisha capital, police said on Thursday. 

The deceased, identified as Divya V., was a native of Karnataka and was working as a Junior Resident at AIIMS Bhubaneswar. According to police, Divya was found hanging at a rented house in Dumuduma under the Khandagiri Police Station limits. She was reportedly staying there with a male



friend.

The incident came to light when her friend returned home after duty on Wednesday and found the door locked from inside. After receiving no response despite repeated attempts to contact her, he allegedly broke open the door and found her hanging, police said. 

A police team reached the spot after being informed and recovered the body. An unnatural death case has been registered, and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
