A day after Rohini Acharya’s explosive public outburst and her decision to sever ties with the family, the crisis inside the Lalu Prasad Yadav household intensified on Sunday.
Three more daughters of the RJD chief, Rajlakshmi, Ragini, and Chanda, left the family’s Patna residence with their children and travelled to Delhi, signalling a widening rupture within Bihar’s most influential political family.
Their departure comes amid a week of political and personal upheaval inside the
RJD, already reeling from a humiliating performance in the Bihar Assembly elections, where the party’s tally crashed from 75 seats to just around 25.
Against this backdrop, Rajlakshmi, Ragini and Chanda quietly left 10 Circular Road, the residence of Lalu and Rabri Devi, early on Monday. Sources said they had been distressed by the events of the last two days.
Their departure leaves the once-bustling political nerve centre of the RJD with only Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Misa Bharti.
