Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Thursday arrested a Village Revenue Officer in Mahbubnagar district while he was allegedly accepting bribe from a complainant. Koppunuru VRO Varadarajulu, in-charge of Ayyavaripally village in Veepanagandla Mandal of Mahbubnagar district was trapped by the ACB sleuths on Wednesday at Chellepadu Pushkar ghat, about 26 km away from Veepanagandla, according to



officials.
He was caught red-handed when he demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a farmer, S Shankar of Ayyavaripalli village, for processing his application to issue pattedar passbook for his 10 guntas of land. The accused officer was arrested and produced before the First Additional Special Judge for Special Police Establishment and ACB cases in Hyderabad, said Director.
