New Delhi: The 7th round of Foreign Office Consultations between India and Austria was held in New Delhi on Tuesday. It was co-chaired by Secretary (West) in Ministry of External Affairs Sanjay Verma and Political Director in Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of Austria Gregor Koessler. Ministry of External Affairs said, the Foreign Office Consultations provided an opportunity for reviewing bilateral engagements and exchanging views on regional and global issues of mutual



interest.

These include developments in the respective neighbourhoods, European Union, Ukraine conflict, India’s Presidency of G20, cooperation in multilateral fora and UNSC reforms. Both sides also discussed furthering relations in sectors such as trade and investments, defence, consular, migration, skill development, education and cultural linkages. This interaction follows shortly after the signing of Comprehensive Migration and Mobility Agreement between the two countries.
