60 Passengers Escape as APSRTC Bus Overturns in Kondapi

An APSRTC bus travelling from Kondapi to Madduluru via Ongole overturned near Dwaraka Sea Food on Saturday after the driver allegedly swerved to avoid a collision with another bus coming from the opposite direction. 

According to reports, around 60 passengers, including 20 students, were travelling on the bus at the time of the accident.



Locals said the driver was unable to notice the bus coming from the opposite direction near the curve, as thick thorny bushes along the roadside obstructed his view. 

Several passengers sustained injuries in the mishap and were shifted to the kondapi Government Hospital for treatment. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
