A 55-year-old person was murdered by his son for laughing at him after a dispute at Penumuru mandal in Chittoor district in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday night.
According to police, Chengareddy (55) of Manikyarayunipalle has two sons, Jokesh Reddy and Hemachandra Reddy. The elder son Jokesh Reddy works as a JCB driver in a gravel factory near Yellampalle in the mandal.
His wife Chudamani works as a teacher in a private school in Penumuru. They
live in Penumuru. Jokesh Reddy often used to abuse his wife after drinking alcohol. When he came home drunk at night, his wife called Chengareddy and said, “Your son is drunk and is harassing us.
Come and teach him a lesson and take him away.” Jokesh Reddy took the phone from his wife and told his father that he was arriving at Manikyarayunipalle on a bike to meet him. Enraged by the father's laughter at him, Jokesh Reddy slit his throat with a knife and fled.
