36 Passengers Safe After Sleeper Bus Collides With Lorry

A major road accident was narrowly averted near Kodumuru in Kurnool district in the early hours of Wednesday. 

A private sleeper bus travelling from Hyderabad to Ballari collided with a lorry carrying cement. 

The accident occurred when the bus was attempting to overtake the lorry, causing severe damage to the front portion of the



bus. 

There were 36 passengers on board the bus at the time of the accident. No casualties were reported. 

Preliminary information suggests that the accident may have occurred after the bus driver reportedly dozed off or lost alertness while driving. Police are looking into the exact cause of the accident. Further details are awaited.
