Taking in to consideration the requests of political parties and public representatives from Telangana and also from families of prisoners for early release of jailbirds, the State government on Wednesday issued guidelines to the Home Department to form a committee and finalise a list of prisoners for the same.
According to sources in the Home Department, about 300 prisoners across the State would meet the eligibility criteria.
