Bengaluru: The Second Trade and Investment Working Group Meeting will begin in Bengaluru today under G20 India Presidency. The three days event will be attended by 75 delegates from G20 countries, invitee countries and regional and international organisations. The first Trade and Investment Working Group meeting was held in Mumbai. 

The second meeting starting today in Bengaluru will carry forward discussions on finding agreed solutions on issues related to international trade and investment. On the sidelines of the meet, a Seminar on the disruptive role of technology in driving inclusive growth and resilient trade



will be held today. This seminar will be inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash. He will deliver the keynote address. 

The Secretary in the Department of Commerce Sunil Barthwal will also address the delegates in the Seminar. Nearly 200 delegates from G20 member countries, invitee countries, international organisations and representatives from the technology sector and business community will engage in deliberations on the issues related to the intersection of trade and technology. Two panel discussions will be part of the seminar.
