28.64 crore unorganised workers registered on eShram portal

The Government has said that 28 crore 64 lakh unorganised workers have been registered on the eShram portal. The portal is helping in building a comprehensive National Database of Unorganised Workers in the country. Minister of State for Labour and Employment Rameswar Teli said this in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha



yesterday. 

Registration on this portal is free and workers do not have to pay anything. The eShram portal is integrated with National Career Service Portal and till date, over 13 Lakhs eShram job seekers have registered on this portal. eShram is also integrated with Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan.
