22 people killed in lightning and rain related incidents in Bihar

In Bihar 22 people died and 08 people injured in lightning and rain related incidents in different parts of state.

Most of the dead were farmers who were on the fields, when the tragedy struck.

Maximum 06 people were killed in East Champaran while 16 lost their lives in five districts of West Champaran, Araria,



Muzaffarpur,Saran and Banka districts of the state. 

Expressing grief over the tragedy, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced an ex gratia of rupees four lakh to the next of the kin of those who lost their lives. Mr Kumar appealed people to take precautions and remain alert during lightning
