2 Men Electrocuted While Installing CCTV Cameras in Rajovolu, AP

In a tragic incident, two men were electrocuted while they were installing CCTV cameras at a residence in Rajavolu village near Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district. 

The deceased were identified as Suryarao (50), a resident of Rajavolu who was working as a watchman, and contractor Chinna Krishna Reddy (55) of Netaji Nagar in Bommuru. 

The incident occurred when they were moving an iron stand which was used to



install the CCTV cameras. The tall iron stand came into contact with overhead live electricity lines, resulting in the two men suffering electric shock and dying on the spot.

Villagers stated that the electric wires were hanging loosely and posed grave danger, and despite complaining to the electricity department, no action was taken by the department. Rajavolu police reached the spot and are investigating, and a case has been registered.
