In Gujarat, at least 14 persons including COVID patients and 2 staff members died after a fire broke out at a hospital in Bharuch early this morning. There were about 50 other patients at the four- storied Welfare Hospital when the fire broke out in the COVID-19 ward around 1 am.
 
According to sources, many other patients have been rescued



from the hospital by the locals. The fire was controlled within a few hours and around 50 patients were rescued by the locals. They have been shifted to the nearby hospitals. The COVID-19 designated hospital is situated on the Bharuch-Jambusar highway and is being run by a trust. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
