In Uttrakhand, as many as 11 people were killed while 5 other injured when a vehicle carrying passengers fell into a deep gorge on Jakhola Motor Road at Joshimath in Chamoli district, yesterday afternoon.

All seriously injured have been admitted near by hospital in Joshimathh.
The ill fated vehicle was on its way to Palla Jakhola from Joshimathh when it lost control over the vehicle and fell into deep gorge near Palla Jakohla motor road.

SDRF and police started rescue operation as soon



as the information was received. The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.

Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the vehicle accident on Urgam Pala Jakhola road under Joshimath tehsil of Chamoli.

Chief Minister directed to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the accident and give Rs. Two lakh each to the next of kin of the deceased. Along with this, instructions were also given to ensure free treatment of the injured.
